Description
Seeking an experienced RN Lactation Consultant for a Postpartum unit assignment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on lactation support experience and be passionate about providing education and guidance to postpartum mothers and newborns.
Schedule:
• 13 Week Assignment
• 32 Hours Guaranteed
• 8-Hour Day Shifts
• Every Other Weekend Required
• Every Other Holiday Required
Requirements:
• Active Massachusetts RN License
• Current AHA BLS Certification
• Current NRP Certification
• Active IBCLC or CLC Certification Required
• 1–2 Years RN Experience
• 1–2 Years Lactation Consultant Experience
• Prior Travel Experience Preferred
• EPIC Experience Preferred
Responsibilities:
• Provide lactation assessments and breastfeeding support to postpartum patients
• Educate mothers and families on breastfeeding techniques and newborn feeding practices
• Develop individualized feeding plans and monitor infant feeding progress
• Collaborate with postpartum nurses, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams
• Document patient care and education accurately in the EMR
• Promote evidence-based lactation practices and maternal-child health outcomes
