Description
Seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment. The ideal candidate will have prior travel experience and strong perioperative skills in a fast-paced surgical environment.
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care throughout surgical procedures
Prepare patients and operating rooms while ensuring adherence to sterile technique
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the surgical team to deliver safe, efficient patient care
Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures while maintaining accurate documentation
Participate in on-call coverage and support departmental workflow as needed
Maintain patient safety and infection prevention standards throughout all procedures
Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of Operating Room RN experience
Prior travel nursing experience required (first-time travelers will not be considered)
Active Massachusetts RN License
Current AHA BLS Certification
Two recent Manager/Supervisor references in the OR specialty
EPIC experience preferred
Assignment Details:
13-week assignment
40 guaranteed hours per week
Rotating 4x10-hour shifts
Typical shifts: 7:00 AM–5:30 PM, with possible 9:00 AM–7:30 PM or 11:00 AM–9:30 PM
On-call every 5–6 weekday evenings and every 6th–7th weekend
No block scheduling
Every other major holiday required
EMR: EPIC
