Description
Seeking an experienced Postpartum Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality care for postpartum patients in an acute-care setting.
Responsibilities:
Provide nursing care for post-vaginal and post-C-section patients
Monitor patients experiencing postpartum complications, including hemorrhage and those requiring intermittent magnesium
Administer IV antibiotics, magnesium, PRBCs, Rhogam, and Lovenox
Monitor maternal and newborn conditions and respond to changes
Support breastfeeding and postpartum recovery
Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team
Maintain accurate patient documentation
Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of Postpartum experience
Acute care experience required
Current AHA BLS & NRP required
Travel experience preferred; first-time travelers considered
Lactation certification preferred
Active Massachusetts RN license
2 recent Charge RN/Manager/Supervisor references in matching specialty
Assignment Details:
13-week travel contract
36 hours/week guaranteed
Rotating shifts
Every other weekend required
Every other major holiday required
No on-call requirement
Scrubs provided
EMR: Not specified
13 Postpartum beds + 4 Continuing Care Nursery beds
Local candidates within 50 miles accepted
