Medical Technologist | Chemistry
CHA Cambridge Hospital | Cambridge, MA | 13 Weeks | 40 Hours/Week | Night Shift
Seeking an experienced Medical Technologist to perform clinical laboratory testing in the Chemistry and Diagnostic Immunology departments. Local candidates within 50 miles only.
Position Highlights:
- Shift: 11:15 PM – 7:15 AM
- Schedule: 5x8-hour night shifts
- Weekend availability required; holidays as needed.
- Department: Chemistry and Diagnostic Immunology.
- Laboratory system: Meditech.
Key Duties:
- Perform routine and STAT laboratory testing accurately and efficiently.
- Conduct quality control and participate in proficiency testing.
- Receive and process specimens and enter data into Meditech.
- Troubleshoot basic laboratory instrument issues.
- Support quality improvement audits and workflow optimization.
- Assist with training new staff and implementing laboratory procedures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology (BS MT) required.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant specialty experience.
- MT/MLS certification through ASCP or equivalent NCA, AMT, or HEW certification preferred.
- Updated resume required.
- Two recent manager references required.
- Must reside within 50 miles of the facility.
- AHA BLS is not required.
