Description

Registered Nurse – Primary Care Concierge

Location: Seattle, WA

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (Closed for Lunch 12:00 – 1:30 PM)

Employment Type: Contract | NuWest Group

About NuWest Group

NuWest Group connects exceptional healthcare professionals with outstanding opportunities across the country. We are committed to matching the right clinician with the right environment — and this placement is no exception.

Position Overview

NuWest Group is seeking a motivated, relationship-driven Registered Nurse for a contract placement with Seattle Premier Health's close-knit concierge primary care team. This is not a typical RN role. Approximately 75% of your time will be dedicated to phone triage and patient coordination — fielding calls, solving problems, and providing the kind of thorough, thoughtful follow-through that sets concierge medicine apart. The remaining 25% involves direct, hands-on patient care. You will work collaboratively with physicians, helping to shape treatment plans and serving as a trusted advocate for every patient you touch.

This role is ideal for a clinic-experienced RN who thrives in a fast-paced but relationship-centered environment, communicates exceptionally well, and never settles for "that's not my problem."

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care & Clinical Support

  • Greet and prepare patients for exams and procedures
  • Conduct patient intake, including medical history review and symptom assessment
  • Perform and document vital signs, administer medications and injections as prescribed
  • Assist physicians during examinations and minor procedures
  • Provide wound care, suture removal, and dressing changes
  • Perform diagnostic tests including ECGs, strep/flu/COVID swabs, and INR checks
  • Draw blood and collect specimens for laboratory testing
  • Provide coverage across clinic roles including reception, phones, rooming, and medical chaperone as needed

Triage & Patient Communication

  • Serve as the first point of contact for patient calls, delivering a consistently warm, professional, and solution-oriented experience
  • Answer patient questions via phone and patient portal (MyChart)
  • Educate patients on medications, treatments, and lifestyle modifications
  • Provide discharge instructions and follow-up care guidance
  • Support chronic disease management through education and monitoring

Coordination & Problem Solving

  • Navigate pharmacy issues, prior authorizations, referrals, and specialist coordination on behalf of patients
  • Prepare charts and review labs and imaging ahead of patient visits
  • Communicate with external labs regarding specimens and results
  • Complete insurance forms and respond to third-party inquiries as needed

Documentation & Compliance

  • Accurately document all care in Epic
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and strict patient confidentiality
  • Monitor vaccine refrigerator temperatures and uphold infection control protocols
  • Maintain and troubleshoot medical equipment
  • Participate in continuing education to stay current with best practices

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate brings clinic-based RN experience and a genuine desire to go the extra mile for every patient. We are specifically seeking candidates with outpatient or primary care backgrounds. Candidates with ED or critical care experience as their primary background are not the right fit for this role.

You will thrive here if you are:

  • A stellar communicator — warm, clear, and professional in every interaction
  • A natural problem solver who finds solutions, not obstacles
  • Motivated and curious — someone who asks questions, learns quickly, and takes initiative
  • Organized and able to prioritize in a busy, relationship-driven environment
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team

Required Qualifications

  • Active, unencumbered Washington State RN license
  • Minimum 3 years of RN experience, with significant outpatient or primary care clinic experience
  • Proficiency with Epic EHR
  • Current BLS certification
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Monday–Friday availability, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM; must pass required skills assessments prior to placement

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a concierge or high-touch ambulatory care setting
  • Familiarity with telehealth platforms and mobile health technology
  • Interest in preventive care and wellness
