Position: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – LDRP

Shift / Hours: 3x12 Nights (36 hours/week) | Guaranteed 36 Hours

Weekly Rate: $2590.57 - $3047.73 

Expected Start Date: December 7, 2026

Expected End Date: January 16, 2027

Job Description

NuWest is seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) Registered Nurse for a travel contract at Cibola General Hospital in Grants, NM. In this critical access hospital setting, you will manage patient care across the full spectrum of maternal and newborn health—providing dedicated, family-centered care from labor and delivery through recovery and postpartum.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct, comprehensive nursing care to maternal and newborn patients during labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum stages.
• Monitor fetal heart rates, maternal vital signs, and labor progression, recognizing and responding promptly to changes or complications.
• Assist physicians during high-risk deliveries and neonatal resuscitation as needed.
• Educate new mothers and families on newborn care, breastfeeding, postpartum recovery, and discharge instructions.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and pain management in accordance with clinical standards and facility protocols.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education & Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico or compact/multi-state RN license.
• Certifications Required:
  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
• Preferred Certifications:
  • AWHONN Intermediate/Advanced Fetal Monitoring
  • S.T.A.B.L.E.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Experience: Previous experience in LDRP/L&D nursing; Critical Access Hospital experience is highly preferred.
• Submittal Requirements: Must be submitted with complete NuWest packet (clinical review required prior to submittal).
