Registered Nurse (RN) - Outpatient Infusion Center

Specialty: Infusion / Ambulatory Care

Schedule: Monday – Friday, possible weekends

Shift: Days, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (5 x 8 hours) or 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM (4 x 10 hours)

Position Overview

NuWest is seeking an experienced Infusion RN for an outpatient infusion setting. This is a fast-paced role for a high-functioning nurse who is confident administering non-chemotherapy infusions, blood products, and injections. The ideal candidate has strong assessment and critical thinking skills and can interpret lab results to guide safe patient care.


Key Responsibilities

  • Administer non-chemotherapy IV infusions, including IV hydration, electrolyte replacement, IV iron products, IVIG, IV biologics, and monoclonal antibodies
  • Administer blood products and perform blood transfusions according to protocol
  • Administer injections as ordered
  • Perform patient assessments before, during, and after treatment, monitoring for adverse reactions and responding promptly
  • Review and interpret lab and blood work results to confirm treatment readiness and communicate findings to the provider
  • Verify orders, patient identification, and medications and products before administration
  • Educate patients and families on treatments, expected effects, and follow-up care
  • Document care accurately in the EMR and follow all infection control and safety standards

Required Qualifications

  • Active RN license valid in New Jersey
  • Minimum 3 years of recent medical/surgical RN experience
  • Experience with non-chemo IV infusions, blood transfusions, and injections
  • Ability to interpret blood work results, with excellent assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Must be able to pass required background checks and drug screening
