**Certifications Required:** BLS, ACLS, NIHSS **Competency Required:** Arterial Lines **Common Skills/Responsibilities:** - Titrating drips (Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, insulin) - Reading and interpreting tele/monitor strips **License Required for Submission:** Yes **Educational Requirements:** - BSN Required: False **Desired Qualities in a Nurse for This Unit:** - Team player - Flexible and adaptable - Good communication skills **Experience with Specific Patient Conditions:** - Cardiac med/surg - Dialysis - Cancer diagnosis - Vascular issues - Sepsis - Adult respiratory - Stroke - Post-stent or pacer placement - Renal failure **Experience with Equipment:** - High flow **Other Job Requirements:** - Driver's license required at submission for radius rule compliance - Pass/Fail open book exam on skills learned during orientation with a 90% passing score **Scheduling Requirements:** - Must work every other weekend and at least 2 holidays during the contract time frame - Flexibility to float to MedSurg or ICU as needed **Cultural Competency:** - Ability to work with diverse cultural populations, primarily Hispanic and Somalian
