To be considered for this CVICU nursing position, candidates need to have the following experience and qualifications: 1. **Experience:** - Experience working in a CVICU (Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit) setting, handling both pre and post-operative cardiac patients. 2. **Licensure and Certifications:** - Active nursing license verified through Nursys. - License/Certificate Verification required for submission. 3. **Health and Safety Requirements (for onboarding):** - Complete specific health screenings and testing including: - Ascension Pharmacology Exam - Ascension Specialty Exam - Ascension Core Competencies - Ascension Safe Sleep - Ascension EKG Exam - Ascension Unit Specific Checklist (optional) - Personal health history screenings (e.g., MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza Vaccine, 2 Step PPD or IGRA, Varicella, and Tdap). - Positive PPD and Negative Chest X-Ray (optional) - Participation in a Fit Test - Health statement clearance - Completion of a 12 Panel Drug Screen - Criminal Background Check Results 4. **Professional Requirements (for onboarding):** - Ascension Onboarding Requirements Education Attestation - Ascension Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding - Ascension Education Verification - Ascension Confirmation of Assignment - Ascension Employment Verification - Providing a Driver's License/State ID - Providing two professional references - Submitting a professional Ascension Profile - Badge photo submission 5. **Skills:** - Skills associated with specialty exams and relevant clinical competencies as outlined in various Ascension Checklists. Additionally, candidates should be flexible with their work schedules, which include working 36 hours a week, every other weekend, and being on call, with the potential to float between related units such as PICU, Peds, and NICU.
