**Required Experience and Certifications:** - Experienced ER RN - Active WI RN Licensure - Education verification - Flu vaccination - BLS (Basic Life Support) - ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) - Either TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) or TNS (Trauma Nurse Specialist) **Preferred Experience:** - Utilization of the nursing process and collaboration with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients. - Administration of prescribed medications and treatments according to approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, standards of care, and State law practice act. - Documentation according to standards of care. - Performing assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care. - Developing, initiating, and executing a patient plan of care according to individualized needs. - Participation in department or unit performance improvement activities, including shared governance. - Utilizing clinical expertise and guidance to other units/departments in support of the patient’s longitudinal plan of care. - Utilizing critical thinking regarding patient safety and experience with appropriate escalation to the chain of command. - Participation in the professional nursing continuum process, unit practice activities and decisions, and peer review process.
