**Position / Specialty:** Med Surg RN - Urology/Nephrology **Shift:** Day shift 0645-1915. **Years of experience REQ:** Minimum 2 years' experience required. **First-timers accepted:** Yes - Want to see they have a solid foundation as an RN if they are new to travel. > 2 year's experience in medical/surgical nursing. **Certs REQ:** BLS and active IL RN license required. **Licensure:** Must have active IL license to apply. **Special Requirements:** Required Work Setting Experience: MS/Tele, Med/Surg. Required Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response Skills/Experience: Telemetry- remote monitoring, Use of Rapid Response Teams. Required Genitourinary/Renal Case Skills/Experience: Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure. Required IV therapy/Phlebotomy Skills/Experience: Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting IVs. Required Medication Skills/Experience: Heparin. Required Respiratory Case Skills/Experience: Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleur-evac, CPAP/BiPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Oral suctioning, Portable Oxygen tank. Required Professional Knowledge and Skills: Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac. Cerner experience required. **Hospital Highlights:** - **Type of Facility:** Acute Care Hospital - **Magnet / Teaching / Level Trauma (if applicable):** Acute Care Hospital - Level I trauma center. Magnet hospital/facility. **Certifications:** BLS **Skills:** Colostomy/ileostomy management/care*, Feeding tube care and management*, Phlebotomy*, PCA*, MS/Tele, Med/Surg, Telemetry - remote monitoring, Use of Rapid Response/Code teams, Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure, Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting and maintaining IVs, Heparin, Chest tubes-Emerson/PleurEvac, BiPAP/CPAP management/maintenance, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Oral suctioning, Oxygen tanks, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Wound Care/Wound Vac, Kidney Transplant*, Urology/Nephrology* **Job Requirements & Qualifications:** - **Previous Charge Experience:** Required - **Years of Experience:** 2 - **Charting System Experience:** Required - **Charting System Name:** Cerner - **Trauma Level I Experience:** Preferred - **License:** MUST have IL license in hand at submission. - **Charting:** Cerner. Experience required is position specific. **Floating:** 100% required of ALL TRAVELERS - Candidates will float within hospital or to an affiliate hospital/s nearby.
