**Experience Required:** - Minimum 2 years of experience required in Medical/Surgical (Med/Surg) setting. - Travel experience required. - Experience with Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response skills/experience: Telemetry- remote monitoring and Use of Rapid Response Teams. - IV therapy/Phlebotomy experience: Accessing Ports, Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting IVs. - Medication experience: Heparin, Insulin, PCA. - Neurological/Psychiatric case experience: CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident), Pre/Post Neuro Surgery, Spinal cord injuries, Traumatic Brain injury. - Surgical experience: Experience with Surgical drains required. - Respiratory case experience: Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleur-evac, CPAP/BiPAP, Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Oral suctioning, Oxygen face masks, Portable Oxygen tank, Pre/Post Thoracic Surgery, Tracheostomy Management. - Professional knowledge and skills: Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac. Continuous Bladder Irrigation experience required. - Cerner charting experience required. - Teaching hospital and Trauma Level II experience preferred. **Certifications Required:** - BLS (Basic Life Support) and NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale). - OCN* and MS/Tele*, Telemetry* (specific skills listed in job description details). **Licensure:** - Must have active Illinois (IL) license in hand at submission. **Leadership Experience:** - Previous charge experience preferred. **Skills Required:** - Ability to work every other weekend. - Must be able to float within scope to meet facility needs. - Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. - Post Angiogram, Post cardiac surgery, Post MI, IV Insulin protocols, Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure, Phlebotomy, Ortho trauma, Peripheral nerve block catheters, Total joint replacement, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs). - Colostomy/ileostomy management/care, Feeding tube care and management. - Use of Rapid Response/Code teams. - Non-invasive airway management. - Tracheostomy care/management. - Wound Care/Wound Vac. **Additional Requirements:** - Must comply with COVID-19, Flu vaccine requirements, and submit to background checks as per hospital policy. - Floating is 100% required. - Candidates must secure housing, complete compliance needs timely, and complete full assignment without attendance/behavior issues. Note: "First-timers" or candidates without prior travel experience are not accepted.
