**Experience Required:** - Minimum Experience: 2 years (1st timers are accepted) - Previous Charge Experience: Preferred - Community Hospital Experience: Preferred - LTAC Experience: Preferred - Trauma Level I Experience: Preferred - Trauma Level II Experience: Preferred **Patient Population:** - Adults to Geriatrics **Certifications Required:** - BLS (Basic Life Support) - ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) **Skills Required:** - Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) - Medical Intensive Care Unit - Surgical Intensive Care Unit - Interpretation and Management of dysrhythmias - Management of patient with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure - Obtain 12 lead EKG/ECG - Thermoregulation: hypothermia/hyperthermia - Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG) - Central Venous Pressure Monitoring (CVP) - Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) - Post Cardiac Surgery (Not directly from the OR) - Pre/Post Cardiac Cath/intervention - Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring - Sheath Removal - Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) - Valve Repair/Replacement - Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD/RVAD) - IV insulin protocols - GI surgery - Chronic/Acute Renal failure, CVVHD/CRRT - Accessing/Managing Ports - Arterial line management - Blood Product Administration - Central line care/management - PICC line management - Starting and maintaining IVs - Continuous IV paralytics/Neuromuscular blockade - Continuous IV sedation - Emergency Medications - Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring - Titrate Cardiac drips and Vasoactive drips - CVA/Acute Stroke management - Hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun - ICP monitoring - Assist with management of BiPAP, BiPAP/CPAP management/maintenance - Assist with Chest Tube Insertion/Removal - Care of Ventilated Patient - Fresh tracheostomy - High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) - Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs) - Pulmonary edema - Pulmonary embolism - Respiratory failure - Suctioning (ETT, NT) - Ventilator Management - Infection Prevention **Systems Experience:** - Charting System Experience: Preferred (Epic) - Unit Systems: Epic, Pyxis, SBAR **Licensure:** - GA or Compact license must be in hand at time of submittal **References:** - Two supervisory references are highly preferred at the time of submission (Manager or above - charge not accepted).
