### Required Skills / Certifications / Experience: - Minimum Years of Experience: 2 Year Experience Minimum REQUIRED - Traveler Experience: Unit WILL ACCEPT 1st Time Travelers - Skills: Telemetry AND PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience. Interpretation of dysrhythmias and remote monitoring required. Pre/Post Cardiac Cath, Pre/Post Cardiac Surgery, and Sheath Removal experience required. Accessing ports, Blood Product Administration, central Line/care management, PICC line management, Cardiac drip-titrate Diltiazem and Amiodarone, Post cardiac cath experience - Certifications: ACLS - Must Pass EKG Testing prior to start for this specialty. - NC or Compact license required in hand at time of start. ### Preferred Skills / Certifications / Experience: - Skills: Charge experience - Certifications: NIHSS - Charting System experience: Epic preferred - Previous Charge Experience: Preferred ### Scheduling & Requirements: - Float Requirement: YES REQUIRED AS NEEDED; potential to float EVERY SHIFT. - Shift: 12-Hour NIGHTS; 36 Hours ONLY - Weekend Requirement: 5-6 weekend shifts (equates to every other weekend) - Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team. - Ratios: 1:6-7 ### Qualifications & Expectations: - Must have a teamwork approach and meet Novant behavioral expectations. - Charting Experience Required: Epic is most common. - References: Two manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months are HIGHLY preferred at time of submission. - Candidate must be comfortable floating based on the job description with no restrictions or special requests. - RTO: 7 DAYS MAX for AYA AUTO OFFER; No RTO allowed during the first week of a traveler's assignment due to orientation. ### Additional Notes: - Candidates may float within hospital or to an affiliate hospital nearby. - Candidate's perm address under 50 miles will be offered at a lower local rate. - Modules: 8-10 hours of modules for Acute Care roles. Must be completed pre-start and annually. Recorded via online learning, Zoom, webinar, and in-person classes.
