Summary:

Junxion Med Staffing is looking for a PCU/Stepdown RN to take an assignment in Springfield, Illinois.


This assignment lasts 13.14 WEEKS and is scheduled to start on May 4, 2026.

**Required Experience:** - Minimum 1 year experience required. - First-timers accepted: No. - Travel Experience Required: Yes. - 18 months exp. required, with possible exceptions depending on unit. - Required Work Setting Experience: Telemetry, Neuro Stepdown, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown. **Preferred Experience:** - Cerner experience preferred. - Teaching hospital experience preferred. - Level I Trauma Experience preferred. **Certifications Required:** - BLS and NIH required. - ACLS preferred. **Licensure:** - Must have active IL license to apply. - Pending License not accepted. **Skills and Qualifications:** - Required Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response Skills/Experience: Interpretation and Management of dysrhythmias, Telemetry monitoring, Use of Rapid Response Teams. - Required Cardiovascular Skills/Experience: Post Cardiac Angiogram, Post MI, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath, Pre/Post Cardiac Surgery, Sheath Removal, TR Band. - Required Gastrointestinal Skills/Experience: Feeding tube care and management. - Required Genitourinary/Renal Skills/Experience: Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure. - Required IV therapy/Phlebotomy Skills/Experience: Accessing Ports, Arterial line management, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Phlebotomy, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting IVs. - Required Medication Skills/Experience: Manage and Titrate Cardiac and Vasoactive drips, Heparin Protocols, PCA, Procedural Sedation Administration. - Required Neurological/Psychiatric Case Experience: Craniotomy, CVA, Pre/Post neurosurgery, Spinal cord injury, Traumatic Brain injury. - Required Orthopedics Case Experience: Ortho Trauma, Peripheral nerve block catheters, Total Joint Replacements. - Required Plastic Surgery Case Experience: Skin grafts, Surgical drains. - Required Respiratory Skills/Experience: Care of Ventilated Patient, Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleur-evac, External CPAP/BIPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of ABGs, Nasal Cannula, Oxygen face masks, Portable Oxygen tank, Non-invasive airway management, Tracheostomy Management. - Required Professional Topics and Skills: Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac. **Additional Information:** - Must be able to take tracheostomies with ventilators. - Floating is 100% required of ALL TRAVELERS - Candidates will float within hospital or to an affiliate hospital/s nearby. - Charting System: Cerner.
