Job Details:

• Certifications: Surgical Technologist Certification (CST) or National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) Certified Tech in Surgery (TS-C) and Basic Life Support (BLS)

**Necessary Requirements:** - Completion of an approved Surgical Technician training program accredited by the Association of Surgical Technologist (AST). - On the job training in a clinical healthcare setting or military specialty. **Certification/Licensure:** - Must be certified within 6 months after a 3-year qualification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA 3yr) or Surgical Technologist Certification (CST), or current certification from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT-3yr 6240 hours) Certified Tech in Surgery (TS-C). - Must maintain a current valid certification of Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association throughout employment. **Position Requirements:** - Performing basic duties of a surgical technologist. - Assist with positioning, surgical prepping, and draping of the surgical patient. - Responsibilities include setting up an operating room before surgery and ensuring all needed equipment and instrumentation is available and in working condition for the scheduled surgical procedure.
