### Qualifications and Requirements - **Licensure:** Active Registered Nurse (RN) license. - **Experience:** Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery / Labor & Birth experience in an acute care hospital setting. - **Certifications:** BLS and NRP are required, EFM training & Intermediate AWHONN FHM are preferred. - **Skills Required:** - Strong fetal monitoring and interpretation skills. - Expertise in labor support and coaching. - Medication administration and IV therapy proficiency. - Ability to handle obstetric emergencies and rapid response situations. - Experience managing laboring patients, including high-risk obstetric cases, independently. - Strong communication, critical thinking, and time management abilities. - Experience working comfortably with 2 patients in a high acuity, team-based environment. - Capable of adapting quickly to new workflows, policies, and electronic medical records. - **Preferred Experience:** Two years of current inpatient, acute care hospital experience. - **Additional Requirements:** Comfortable floating between Antepartum and Labor & Delivery areas. Must be able to work independently and within a team environment. Flu vaccination is required from November 1-April 1, with exemptions needing client approval. ### Job Summary The Agency Labor & Birth (L&B) Registered Nurse is responsible for comprehensive nursing care for laboring, delivering, and immediate postpartum patients in a high-paced, high-acuity hospital setting. This role involves collaborating closely with obstetric providers, anesthesia, NICU, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, evidence-based, patient-centered care throughout the labor and birth process.
