**Cath Lab Tech Requirements and Qualifications:** - **Work Setting Experience Required:** - Diagnostic Cardiac Cath Lab - Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab - Special Procedures - Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiology - Endovascular Peripheral Intervention - **Work Setting Experience Preferred:** - Electrophysiology (EP) Lab - Interventional Radiology - **Skills Required:** - Cardiac Cath Lab Procedures: Cardiac Stent Placement, Diagnostic Catheterizations Adult, Hemodynamic Monitoring, IABP Placement/Removal, Impella Insertion, Laser Assisted Procedures, Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI), Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA), Right and Left Heart Catheterization, Rotablader Athrectomy, Temporary Pacemaker - Equipment/Operation/Maintenance: PACS, Siemens - Procedural Responsibilities: Accurate Monitoring, Equipment Set Up, Prep Access Site, Recognition of Life-threatening Arrhythmias, Room Circulator, Scrub-Maintain Sterile Field, Vascular Closure Systems (Perclose, StarClose) - Professional Knowledge and Skills: Isolation Precautions, Use of Rapid Response Team - Abdominal and Pelvic Procedures: Angioplasty, Embolization, Inferior Vena Cava (IVC) Filter Placement, Stent Placement - Vascular Studies/Procedures: Upper and Lower Extremity Angiography - **Certifications Required:** - ACLS (American Heart Association) - BCLS - ARRT - **Certifications Preferred:** - ARRT CI - **Licenses:** - RT License required to operate Fluoro machines in WV - WV Medical Imaging License required - Registered by the A.R.R.T., R.T.(R) is required - **Experience:** - 1.5-2 years required - Travel experience required - Diagnostic Radiology experience preferred - **Degree:** - Graduate of an approved School of Radiologic Technology - **Charting System Experience Preferred:** - Cerner
