- **Years of Experience Required:** 1 to 2 years - **First-timers Accepted:** Yes - **Certifications Required:** BLS, NIHSS; ACLS preferred - **Skills Required:** - Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response: Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, Telemetry monitoring, Use of Rapid Response Teams - Cardiovascular: Post MI, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath - Endocrine/Metabolic: IV insulin protocols - Gastrointestinal: Feeding tube care and management - Genitourinary/Renal: Continuous Bladder Irrigation, Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure - IV Therapy/Phlebotomy: Accessing Ports, Blood Product Administration, Central line management, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting IVs - Medications: Heparin Protocols, Manage Cardiac drips- no titration, PCA - Respiratory: Chest tubes, External CPAP/BIPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of ABGs, Non-invasive airway management, Tracheostomy Management - Professional Topics and Skills: Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac - **Skills Preferred:** - Previous Charge Experience - Trauma Level I & II Experience - Charting System Experience: Epic - **License Requirements:** Missouri or Compact License - **Special Requirements:** Wide variety of patient diagnoses including heart failure, myocardial infarction, stroke, COPD, pulmonary embolisms, etc. - **Compliance:** - Documentation due 2 Fridays before start date - 10-15 hours of compliance modules due 1 week prior to start - Labs must be completed within 48-72 hours of signing
