**Experience and Qualifications Required:** - 2 years of experience required - Previous Charge Experience: Not specified - 18 months of experience required (exceptions may apply depending on the unit) - First timers accepted **Certifications Required:** - ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) - NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) preferred **Skills and Experience Required:** - Interpretation and Management of dysrhythmias - Multi-system organ failure - Pre/Post Cardiac Cath/intervention - IV insulin protocols - GI Surgery - Chronic/Acute Renal failure - Arterial line management - Blood Product Administration - Central line care/management - PICC line management - Continuous IV sedations - Titrate Cardiac drips - Titrate Vasoactive drips - BiPap and CPAP Management - Care of ventilated patients - HFNC (High Flow Nasal Cannula) - Interpretation of ABGs (Arterial Blood Gases) - Suctioning (ETT, NT) - Ventilator Management - Infection prevention, isolations/use of PPE - Accessing/Managing Ports* - Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring* - Starting and maintaining IVs* **Licensure Requirements:** - License must be in hand prior to start date. Temporary licenses may be obtainable once permanent license applications have been submitted. **Other Requirements:** - Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays - 2 supervisor references required **Charting System Experience Required:** - Experience with Cerner required **Travel and Local Candidate Requirements:** - Locals not accepted for MS, MS Tele, PCU, ICU, and ER positions - Floating is 100% required of all travelers - If the candidate is a PERM or PRN employee of IU, they must be away for 12 months before applying as a traveler - IU Health requires a designated break for travelers who have accrued 12 months of travel employment **Education Requirements:** - University must be accredited by the ACEN or CCNE at the time of graduation
