**Position / Specialty:** Nuclear Med Tech **Shift:** Mon/Wed/Thurs/Fri **Years of Experience Required:** 2 **First Timers Accepted:** Yes **Certifications Required:** BLS, CNMT or NMTCB, IN License **Special Requirements:** Cerner Required, Community Hospital Experience Required **Certifications:** - ARRT N - BLS - CNMT - NMTCB - ARRT(N) or CNMT or NMTCB **Skills:** - 3 Phase - Abdominal - Adenosine infusion - Adult - Bone - Brain - Captopril - Cerebral Blood Flow - Drawing Venous Blood - DTPA Aerosol - Exercise/Rest-Multiple - Exercise/Rest-Single - Flow/Function - Gastric Emptying - HIDA Scan - Hospital - I-123 Uptake Scan - Isolation Precautions/PPE - Limited - Liver - Liver Flow - Liver Imaging - Liver Scan-Hemangioma - Muga Scan - Nuclear Cardiology - Perfusion - Persantine Infusion - Pharmacological Stress - Renal - Renal/ Perfusion - Sestamibi parathyroid scan - Siemens - Starting and maintaining IVs - Storing/Handling/Disposal of Radioactive Materials - Three Phase - Uptake Scan - Ventilation/Perfusion - Ventricular - Whole Body - With Lasix - Spectrum DSpect* **Patient Age Groups:** Adults, Geriatrics **Special Procedures/Unit Details:** - Interdisciplinary Support includes IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Lift Teams, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Transportation, Unit Secretary **Travel Compliance:** - Travelers University must be accredited by the ACEN or CCNE at the time of graduation. - SSN and DOB required at time of submittal - 18 months experience required, refer to job description for exceptions - License must be in hand prior to start date; temporary licenses may be obtainable once permanent licenses applications have been submitted. - 2 supervisor references required **Local Rules:** - IN residents are considered local - Surgical Services positions, Allied positions, and IU Clinics will accept local travelers - Eligible local travelers will be offered the in-state rate at a lower bill rate - For MS, MS Tele, PCU, ICU, and ER positions, locals are not accepted **Floating is 100% required of ALL TRAVELERS:** Candidates will float within the hospital or to an affiliate hospital nearby **Submittal Details:** - Any PERM or PRN employee of IU must be away for 12 months before applying as a traveler - Consecutive Contract Policy: Current or past IU travelers who have accrued 12 months of travel employment anywhere within IU Health are required to take a designated break to reset travel eligibility. **Out-of-state Residents:** - Require a 3 month/90 day break to reset eligibility prior to the traveler's year mark **In-state Residents:** - Require a 6 month/180 day break to reset eligibility prior to the traveler's year mark
