**ER RN - TRAVELER** **Years of Experience Required:** - 3 years **Certs & Licensure:** - Active, unrestricted, Arizona RN License or valid, participating compact license - Required - BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS - Required - TNCC - Preferred **Skills:** - Abdominal pain, Acute psychosis - Arterial line management, Asthma, BiPAP/CPAP management - Blood Product Administration, Care of Ventilated Patient - Central line care/management, Chest tube insertion/management - Continuous IV paralytics, Continuous IV sedation, CVA - Drug overdose, Emergency Medications, Epiglottitis - General Emergency Department-Combined Adult/Pedi - Gunshot wounds, Head injury, Hyperglycemia - Identify/Report neglect or abuse, Infection - Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs) - Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Intubation - Isolation Precautions/PPE, IV vasopressors - Level I Trauma Center, Level II Trauma Center - Manage/apply splints, Management of dysrhythmias - Management of patient with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure - Managing violent behavior, Mental/behavioral health conditions - Near drowning, Neuro-Trauma - Obtain 12 lead EKG/ECG, Ortho trauma - Pediatric Emergency Department, Phlebotomy - Poison ingestion, Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring - Psychiatric Hold, Respiratory infection - Seizures, Sickle cell crisis, Skin Disorders - Spinal cord injury, Starting and maintaining IVs - STEMI Certified Facility, Stroke Certified Facility - Suicidal patient, Traumatic amputation - Traumatic Brain injury, Triage - Urinary Tract Infection **Other Requirements:** - Travel Experience: Required - Cerner Charting System: Preferred - PEDS required - HARDSTOP - Module completion is tracked via LMS transcripts during first week of orientation **Floating Requirements:** - Traveler may be asked to float to VVMC Sedona ED **Patient Care Details:** - Patient Age Groups: Neonates, Adolescents, Infants, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics - Patient Ratios Days and Nights: 1:5 **Special Equipment:** - Belmont Rapid Infuser, Bear Hugger, Arctic Sun **Hospital Details:** - Type of Facility: Short Term Acute Care - Teaching/Level IV trauma **Holiday and Weekend Requirements:** - Must work 2 of the following holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day Weekend, Independence Day Weekend, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day - Weekend Coverage: True **Compliance Requirements:** - Two professional references required prior to start Candidates must be comfortable floating without restrictions. Floating may occur within the facility, to nearby affiliate hospitals, or to other units based on skills and census needs.
