**Required Experience:** - 3 years of experience required, with 1.5 years of strong experience in ICU units with floating to PCU. - Travel experience required. - 18 months experience required, with potential exceptions based on the unit. **Preferred Experience:** - Previous charge experience preferred. - Charting system experience preferred. **Licensure and Certification:** - IN-state license required and must be in hand prior to the start date. - Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS. **Skills and Qualifications:** - Patient ratio experience: 2-4. - Required skills: Accessing/managing ports, arterial line management, assist with chest tube insertion/removal, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patient, central line care/management, chronic/acute renal failure, continuous IV paralytics/neuromuscular blockade, continuous IV sedation, CVA/acute stroke management, emergency medications, FloTrac/Vigileo monitoring, high flow nasal cannula, hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun, Impella, infection prevention, interpretation of arterial blood gases, interpretation of dysrhythmias, intra-aortic balloon pump, isolation precautions/PPE, IV insulin protocols, management of dysrhythmias, management of patient with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, obtain 12 lead EKG/ECG, phlebotomy, PICC line management, post cardiac surgery, pre/post cardiac cath/intervention, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring, sheath removal, starting and maintaining IVs, suctioning (ETT, NT), surgical intensive care unit, thermoregulation: hypothermia/hyperthermia, titrate cardiac drips, titrate vasoactive drips, ventilator management. **Additional Requirements:** - Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays. - Floating within the hospital is 100% required, including ICU, PCU, MS, and the ED. - 2 supervisor references required. - Travelers’ university must be accredited by the ACEN or CCNE at the time of graduation. **Other Information:** - No first-time travelers accepted. - No local candidates accepted for MS, MS Tele, PCU, ICU, and ER positions. - Pending licenses not accepted; temporary licenses may be obtainable.
