**Experience & Qualifications:** - **Charge Experience:** Preferred - **Years of Experience:** 2 required in service line, travel experience preferred - **Trauma Experience:** Trauma Level I and II Experience preferred - **Charting System Experience:** Preferred, with Allscripts and Altera experience preferred but not required - **Community Hospital Experience:** Not specified - **LTAC Experience:** Not specified **Certifications:** - ACLS* (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - BLS (Basic Life Support) - CNOR* (Certified Perioperative Nurse) - NIHSS* (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) - PALS* (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - TNCC* (Trauma Nursing Core Course) **Skills Required:** Craniotomy and burr hole experience are specifically required. Other skills include: - Amputations - Anterior cervical fusion - Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction - Appendectomy - Arthroscopy - Arthrotomy - Burns - Carpal tunnel release - Cervical fusions - Cholecystectomy - Closed reduction of fractures - Colon resection - Craniotomy - General OR procedures - Hernia repair (inguinal/umbilical) - Kyphoplasty - Laminectomy/discectomy - Laparoscopic assisted procedures - Lumbar fusion - Mastectomy - Multiple injuries (MVA) - Open reduction of fractures - Ortho/Spine surgeries - Spinal Fusion - Total joint replacement **Additional Requirements:** - **Licensure:** License in hand required with submittal - **Compliance:** Must pass a mandatory drug screen upon arrival, including for Marijuana - **Local Radius:** RN/LVN are to be within 150 miles, Allied/CNA within 50 miles; local candidates not accepted - **Return Traveler Status:** Must have been gone for 1 year to return as a traveler - **Labs:** Must complete needed lab items within 72 hours of offer acceptance **Orientation & Modules:** - Includes non-billable orientation modules averaging 6-8 hours, completed during orientation.
