Travel Nursing Job Details
- Assignment Type: Travel Med/Surg RN
- Location: Wausau, WI (Medical and Pediatrics/MAP Unit)
- Duration: 13-week contract (Start: 11/24/2025 – End: 2/21/2026)
- Shift: 12-hour days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
- Hours per Week: Guaranteed 48 hours (overtime after 48 hours)
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1990-$2130
- Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and holiday rotation
- Charting System: EPIC (required)
- Scrub Colors: Any color
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Wisconsin RN License (required for Wisconsin nursing jobs)
- BLS Certification
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg nursing experience (Trauma Level II experience highly preferred)
- Associate Degree or Certificate in Nursing; BSN preferred
- Proficiency with EPIC charting system
- Ability to float to all inpatient units as needed
Med/Surg RN Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality clinical care to adult patients with diverse medical conditions: respiratory illnesses, stroke, neurological disorders, gastrointestinal illness, diabetic management, renal failure, sepsis, wound care, clotting disorders, infectious diseases, and acute alcohol withdrawal
- Maintain patient ratios of 1:4-5 during days and 1:6-7 during nights
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes
- Demonstrate resilience, adaptability, and a positive attitude in a fast-paced hospital environment
- Independently manage tasks and prioritize patient care throughout the nursing shift
- Float to other inpatient units as needed
