Travel RN Job Details – Med/Surg Night Shift
- Assignment Length: 13-week travel nursing contract
- Location: Wausau, Wisconsin (54401) – Wisconsin nursing jobs
- Unit: Medical and Pediatrics Unit (Adult patients only)
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours per week (overtime after 48 hours)
- Estimated weekly salary: $1,990 - $2,130.
- Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and holiday rotation
- Float: May float to all inpatient units as needed
- Charting System: EPIC EMR
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Wisconsin RN License (required for Wisconsin healthcare jobs)
- BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
- Associate Degree or Certificate in Nursing required; BSN preferred
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience (Trauma Level II experience highly preferred)
- Proficiency with EPIC charting system
- Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment
Travel RN Responsibilities – Medical/Surgical Unit
- Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients with diverse medical conditions, including respiratory illnesses, stroke, neurological disorders, gastrointestinal issues, diabetes management, renal failure, sepsis, wound care, clotting disorders, infectious diseases, and acute alcohol withdrawal
- Maintain patient ratios of 1:6-7 during night shifts
- Float to other inpatient units as needed to support hospital staffing
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Demonstrate adaptability, resilience, and a positive attitude in a dynamic hospital environment
- Accurately complete patient documentation using EPIC EMR
- Participate in scheduled holiday and weekend rotations
