ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona – required for Arizona nursing jobs
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience
- Current ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA) certifications
- No license hits
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
- Flu vaccination required (declinations may be considered)
- Must not have an Arizona home address on driver’s license
ICU RN Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive critical care nursing to ICU patients
- Monitor, assess, and document patient status and progress in the intensive care setting
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes
- Respond to emergencies and deliver advanced life support as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records
- Participate in on-call and weekend rotations as required by the healthcare facility
