Med/Surg Tele RN Job Details

Location: Ithaca, NY 14850 (New York healthcare jobs)
Unit: Medical/Surgical Telemetry Unit (4 South)
Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Job
Start Date: July 21, 2025
End Date: October 20, 2025
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Shift: Night shifts, 12 hours each (3x12 per week)
Patient Ratio: 1:5-6
Floating: Will float between sister units (4 North and 4 South)
Schedule: Every other weekend and rotating holidays
Estimated Weekly Salary: $1990 - $2130

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State
Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
Epic EMR experience required
Ability to float between medical/surgical units as needed
Strong communication, clinical, and teamwork skills

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality patient care on the Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit
Monitor and assess patient conditions, including telemetry monitoring
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Accurately document patient care using Epic EMR
Float between assigned units as required
Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as part of the nursing team
