- Healthcare Setting: Acute Care Hospital
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour night shifts)
- Weekly Hours: 36
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 10/27/2025 – End: 1/26/2026)
- Number of Beds: 34
- Patient Ratio: 1:3-4
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1470-$1570
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg or Telemetry nursing experience
- Experience with Heparin drips (gtts) and Patient-Controlled Analgesia (PCA)
- BLS certification (AHA)
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills
- Reliable, adaptable, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Preferred: Stepdown/PCU experience and solid organ transplant nursing (kidney, liver, pancreas)
RN Responsibilities – Telemetry & Transplant Nursing
- Deliver high-quality patient care on the Telemetry Surgical Transplant unit
- Monitor and interpret telemetry readings; respond promptly to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications, including Heparin drips and PCAs; perform wound and drain care (wound vac, chest tube, JP)
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Accurately document patient care in Meditech EMR
- Utilize advanced clinical equipment: bladder scanners, EKG machines, AccuVein, patient lifts
- Maintain a safe, supportive environment for patients and staff
