Travel Nursing Job Details

Location: Anchorage, AK 99508 (Alaska healthcare jobs)
Unit: Medical/Surgical/Oncology (5th Floor)
Number of Beds: 28
Assignment Duration: 8 weeks (Start: 10/27/2025 – End: 12/22/2025)
Shift: 12-hour days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Hours per Week: 36
Estimated Weekly Salary: $1840–$1980

On-Site Position

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active, permanent Alaska RN license (required for submission)
Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience (Oncology RN or Med/Surg RN preferred)
Current BLS certification
NIH Stroke Certification
Chemo certification and ACLS preferred
Experience with Epic EMR, Alaris Pumps, and Pyxis systems is a plus
Strong communication skills and a flexible, outgoing personality
Ability to float to Med/Tele, Surgical Care Unit, and Orthopedics as needed

Oncology RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to oncology and medical/surgical patients
Perform bedside procedures at the Med Surg level
Monitor and assess patient conditions, administer medications, and manage IVs
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team (Charge RN, RNs, PCTs)
Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR
Adhere to unit policies, guidelines, and infection control standards
Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling, including weekends as needed
Comply with unit dress code (blue scrubs)
