Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nursing Job in Anchorage, Alaska (12-Hour Nights)

Oncology RN Job Details

Location: Anchorage, AK 99508 (Alaska healthcare jobs)
Facility Setting: Medical/Surgical/Oncology Unit – 28 beds
Contract Length: 13-week travel nursing assignment
Start Date: October 27, 2025
End Date: January 26, 2026
Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Hours per Week: 36
Estimated Weekly Salary: $1840-$1980

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active, permanent Alaska RN license (required for Alaska nursing jobs)
Minimum 1 year of recent experience as an Oncology RN or Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse
Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
NIH Stroke Scale certification
Chemo certification and ACLS preferred
Strong interpersonal skills and flexibility
Ability to float to Med/Tele, Surgical Care Unit, and Orthopedics as needed

Oncology RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to oncology and med/surg patients in a 28-bed unit
Perform bedside procedures at the med/surg level
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team (night shift: 1 Charge RN, 3 RNs, 2 PCTs)
Operate Alaris pumps and Pyxis medication systems
Document patient care using Epic EMR
Maintain a patient ratio of 1:6
Demonstrate flexibility by floating to related nursing units as needed
