- Job Title: Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse (PCU RN)
- Location: Cumming, GA 30041 (Atlanta metro area)
- Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Contract
- Start Date: December 1, 2025
- End Date: February 28, 2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00pm – 7:00am), 3 shifts per week
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $20
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Progressive Care Unit (PCU) nursing experience
- Active Georgia Registered Nurse (RN) license or compact state RN license
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification – required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification – required
- NIH Stroke Certification – required
- Ability to work 2 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve) during contract
- No local candidates within 50 miles of Cumming, GA
PCU Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate patient care in the Progressive Care Unit
- Monitor, assess, and respond to changes in patient conditions
- Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions as prescribed
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with hospital policies and standards
