PCU RN Job Details

• Job Title: Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse (PCU RN)
• Location: Cumming, GA 30041 (Atlanta metro area)
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Contract
• Start Date: December 1, 2025
• End Date: February 28, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00pm – 7:00am), 3 shifts per week
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $20

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Progressive Care Unit (PCU) nursing experience
• Active Georgia Registered Nurse (RN) license or compact state RN license
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification – required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification – required
• NIH Stroke Certification – required
• Ability to work 2 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve) during contract
• No local candidates within 50 miles of Cumming, GA

PCU Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate patient care in the Progressive Care Unit
• Monitor, assess, and respond to changes in patient conditions
• Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions as prescribed
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with hospital policies and standards
