Med/Surg RN Job Details

• Location: Rock Island, IL 61201 (Quad Cities – Illinois travel nursing jobs)
• Unit: Clinical Resource Team, Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) Unit
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
• Shift: 12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 11/10/2025, End: 2/9/2026)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Patient Ratio: 1:6-7 (nights)
• Scrubs: Black or Navy Blue
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1950 - $2090

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience required
• Active Registered Nurse license in Illinois or Iowa
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA)
• First-time travel nurses are encouraged to apply
• Must live more than 50 miles from the hospital (Illinois travel nurse requirement)
• Updated work history/resume
• Completed skills checklist (within 1 year)
• RN license verification
• Copies of required certifications
• One supervisory reference
• Proof of taxable address

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical patients as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Manage a patient load of 6-7 during night shifts
• Collaborate with Patient Care Technicians and other healthcare professionals
• Float within the Med/Surg discipline across local Rock Island campuses as needed
• Document patient care using EPIC EMR system
• Demonstrate professionalism and adaptability in a fast-paced clinical environment
