ICU RN Job Details – Indianapolis, IN

• Location: Indianapolis, IN 46237 – Explore Indiana’s capital, known for its diverse healthcare jobs, welcoming neighborhoods, and cultural attractions.
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (Travel RN)
• Unit: Neuro Critical Care / Neuro ICU (30 beds)
• Shift: 12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Weekly Hours: 36
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 9/24/2025 – End: 12/24/2025)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (Friday/Saturday nights)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1780 - $1910
• EMR: Epic
• Scrub Color: Navy

ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Indiana or compact state
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience (Neuro ICU experience strongly preferred)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred)
• Proficient in comprehensive assessment and care of hemodynamically unstable and mechanically ventilated patients
• Strong neurological assessment skills
• Ability to float to other inpatient nursing units as needed
• Preferred: Experience with Pupillometer, EVD, ICP waveform management, CRRT, and Epic EMR
• Excellent teamwork, adaptability, and compassionate patient care

ICU RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill neuro patients in the Neuro ICU
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and monitor neurological status
• Manage care for patients using advanced equipment: Alaris Pumps, Arctic Sun, Prismax, EV 1000, and Neuroptics Pupillometer
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Float to other inpatient units as required by hospital needs
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training, including Epic EMR
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation and uphold patient safety standards
