- Holiday Coverage: Must be available to work 1 major holiday (Christmas Day or New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Christmas Eve or New Year's Eve)
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in inpatient oncology or medical-surgical nursing
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Georgia or compact state)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required
- Must be willing to work nights and required holidays
- No local candidates within 50 miles of Cumming, GA
Oncology RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to oncology patients in an acute care inpatient setting
- Administer chemotherapy, medications, and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, documenting changes and reporting to the healthcare team
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and ongoing care needs
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient records
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives
