Trauma RN Job Details

• Location: Conroe, Texas 77304
• Unit: Orthopedic Surgical Trauma (OST) – 4th Floor
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: 1/5/2026 – End: 4/6/2026)
• Shift: 12 Hour Nights (7p-7a)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per schedule
• Number of Positions: 2
• Dress Code: Royal blue scrubs
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1360-$1460

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care RN experience
• Experience with chest tube management
• Trauma nursing experience preferred
• Strong time management and flexibility
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR is a plus

Trauma RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to trauma and orthopedic surgical patients
• Manage chest tubes, traction, orthopedic equipment, IVs, oxygen therapy, tracheostomies, and drains
• Assist with lines and drains procedures
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Float to Medical Surgical units as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation using Meditech EMR
• Demonstrate flexibility and excellent time management in a busy clinical environment
