Travel Nurse Job Details

• Location: Columbus, Ohio (43210) – Ohio nursing jobs
• Healthcare Setting: Oncology-focused Med/Surg Telemetry Unit
• Position Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
• Start Date: December 15, 2025
• End Date: April 6, 2026
• Assignment Duration: 16 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (Day: 07:00-19:30, Night: 19:00-07:30); 3 shifts/week
• Hours per Week: 36
• Unit: 10 James – Gynecology and Urology
• Patient Population: Adults & Geriatrics
• Orientation: Comprehensive classroom and preceptor-led on-unit training
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1940–$1990

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – valid compact or Ohio state license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Proficient with EPIC electronic health record (EHR) system
• Preferred: Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy certification
• Ability to provide two professional references (one from a manager/director or formal leadership)

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care to adults and geriatric oncology patients (endometrial, bladder, renal, ovarian, cervical cancers)
• Administer chemotherapy and monitor for adverse reactions
• Participate in clinical trials and assist with data documentation
• Perform specialized procedures: brachytherapy, neobladder care, feeding tube management, IV therapy, blood product administration, central line maintenance
• Monitor telemetry readings, interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias
• Implement infection prevention protocols and falls management strategies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (PT, RT, Pharmacy, Social Services, Rapid Response)
• Float to other Med/Surg Oncology units as needed
• Utilize computerized charting (EPIC) for accurate clinical documentation
