PCU RN Job Details

• Location: Greenville, NC 27834 (Eastern North Carolina nursing jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) – TSIU
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
• Start Date: December 1, 2025
• End Date: March 3, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts
• Hours per Week: 36
• RN-to-Patient Ratio: 1:4
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1780 - $1910 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Compact RN licenses accepted)
• BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent PCU or ICU nursing experience
• Proficient in reading and interpreting cardiac strips
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• Must pass Relias exams (2 attempts allowed)
• Must reside outside an 80-mile radius of Greenville, NC

PCU RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with acute neurological and medical conditions, including stroke management, post-neuro-surgical care, seizure management, multiple sclerosis, and Guillain-Barre syndrome
• Utilize advanced clinical skills such as NIHSS assessments, lumbar puncture assistance, arterial and central line management, tracheotomy care, lumbar drains, IV starts, and blood draws (peripheral and arterial)
• Administer and monitor intravenous drips (cardiac, insulin, heparin) and perform cardiac monitoring
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC EMR
• Comply with all facility policies and provide all requested time off prior to assignment confirmation
