PCU Registered Nurse Job Details
- Location: Claremont, New Hampshire (Zip: 03743) – New England travel nursing opportunity
- Healthcare Setting: Med Surg/Telemetry/Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
- Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) contract
- Start Date: December 1, 2025
- End Date: March 2, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekend/Holiday Coverage: Every other weekend and holiday coverage required
- RN/Patient Ratio: 5:1 (Med Surg), 3:1–4:1 (Higher acuity PCU)
- Dress Code: Personal scrubs of any color
PCU Travel Nurse Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of recent experience as a PCU Registered Nurse, Med Surg RN, or Telemetry RN (required)
- Proficient with cardiac monitoring and telemetry (required)
- Basic dysrhythmia test (required in profile)
- Previous travel nursing experience (highly preferred)
- Experience in rural or small healthcare facilities (highly preferred)
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA required)
- Ability to work independently and adapt quickly in a rural hospital setting
- Must have own vehicle for assignment
- Permanent address must be included in profile
- Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted with application (maximum 5 days for 13-week assignment)
- Facility will not consider candidates residing within 50 miles of Claremont, NH
PCU RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients from newborn to geriatric populations in a progressive care unit
- Monitor and manage patients with cardiac conditions and telemetry needs
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team in a rural hospital environment
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold patient safety standards
- Respond to changing patient acuity and adapt care plans as needed
- Participate in scheduled holiday and weekend coverage
- Demonstrate professionalism, flexibility, and strong clinical skills in a dynamic healthcare setting
