ICU RN Job Details

• Location: Conroe, Texas (77304) – Houston metro area
• Healthcare Setting: 30-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 3rd floor
• Assignment Duration: 13-week travel contract (Start: 1/5/2026 – End: 4/6/2026)
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing – ICU RN
• Shift: 12-hour days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per schedule
• On Call: None
• Scrub Color: Royal Blue
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1,360 - $1,460

ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license (Texas or compact state)
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience, including ventilator and cardiovascular drip management
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Experience with Meditech EMR preferred
• Neuro ICU experience is a plus
• Strong clinical skills and ability to work in high-acuity healthcare settings

ICU RN Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in a 30-bed ICU, managing patients with 1:1, 2:1, and 3:1 nurse-to-patient ratios
• Administer and monitor ventilator support and cardiovascular drips
• Assist with procedures such as thoracentesis, arterial line, and central line placement
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including nurses, charge nurses, and support staff
• Float to Intermediate Medical Unit (IMU) as needed
• Document patient care and interventions using Meditech EMR
• Maintain compliance with ICU unit guidelines and hospital policies
