• Healthcare Setting: Surgical/Ortho 6S Unit
• Assignment Type: Travel RN contract
• Start Date: December 15, 2025
• End Date: March 16, 2026
• Duration: 13-week travel nursing assignment
• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour night shifts)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Electronic Medical Record: EPIC EMR
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1950–$2090

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois or Iowa
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA required)
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Med/Surg, Post Op, or Stepdown nursing jobs
• Ability to manage 5-7 patients per shift in a clinical setting
• Experience with surgical and post-operative patient care strongly preferred
• Willingness to float within the same discipline across local healthcare campuses
• Must have a taxable address at least 50 miles from the facility (no local travelers)

RN Responsibilities – Med/Surg Telemetry

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Surgical/Ortho 6S unit
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data; respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Administer medications, perform clinical assessments, and document care using EPIC EMR
• Support patients through post-operative recovery and rehabilitation
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for patients and staff
• Participate in unit-based initiatives and healthcare quality improvement activities
