Travel Nurse Job Details

• Location: Key West, FL 33040 – Florida nursing jobs in the heart of the Florida Keys, renowned for stunning ocean views and lively culture.
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
• Start Date: December 22, 2025
• End Date: March 23, 2026
• Duration: 13-week nursing contract
• Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour shifts)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1840-$1980

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• At least 2 completed travel nurse assignments
• Clinical experience in L&D, postpartum, nursery, and Mother/Baby units
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP (AWHONN preferred; onsite completion available)
• Ability to float to other hospital units as needed
• AHCA clearance required for Florida healthcare placements
• Secure housing within 50 miles of the healthcare facility prior to acceptance

Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients during antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and neonatal phases
• Apply the nursing process in accordance with Florida Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies
• Demonstrate clinical judgment, critical thinking, and leadership in patient care delivery
• Maintain nursing competencies through ongoing education and training
• Delegate patient care tasks based on staff qualifications and experience
• Supervise and guide assigned healthcare personnel
• Flexibility to float to other clinical units as required by facility needs
