Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Portsmouth, NH (03801) – New Hampshire nursing jobs
• Unit: 3rd Surgical Unit, 27-bed Med/Surg floor
• Assignment Length: 13-week travel contract
• Start Date: December 15, 2025
• End Date: March 16, 2026
• Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (12-hour day shifts)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
• Dress Code: Scrubs (no specific color required)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1680-$1800

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license (Registered Nurse)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg nursing experience in a hospital setting
• Experience in orthopedics and bariatrics preferred
• Strong teamwork and patient-focused attitude

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical patients, including those recovering from orthopedic surgery (knees, hips, shoulders, cervical) and bariatric procedures
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including RNs, Licensed Nursing Assistants (LNAs), and unit coordinators
• Maintain patient ratios of 5-6:1 for optimal clinical support
• Utilize medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts and CPM machines
• Accurately document patient care and interventions using the unit's EMR system
• Float to Medical Oncology unit as needed
• Uphold safety and infection control standards in all nursing practices
