Travel Nurse Job Details

Location: Burlington, Vermont 05401
Unit: M7 Birth – High Risk Labor & Delivery
Assignment Length: 16-32 weeks
Start Date: January 26, 2026
End Date: September 6, 2026
Shift: 12-hour night shifts; every weekend required
Hours per Week: 36
Estimated Weekly Pay: $2520-$2700

On-Site Nursing Position

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Vermont or compact state
Minimum 2 years of recent high-risk Labor & Delivery nursing experience
EPIC EMR experience within the past 12 months (required)
BLS, NRP, ACLS, and AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certifications
Weekend availability and flexible scheduling required
Experience in large academic hospital settings preferred
Reliable personal or rental transportation required (no public transit access)
All-season or snow tires required November–April

Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to high-risk laboring patients and newborns
Monitor maternal and fetal status, interpret fetal monitoring strips, and respond to obstetric emergencies
Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams in a fast-paced, academic hospital environment
Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR
Participate in bi-weekly orientation and ongoing professional development
Maintain compliance with hospital policies and procedures
No float required for this travel nursing assignment
