• End Date: March 9, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights
• Hours per Week: 36 (guaranteed)
• Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend
• On Call: No call required
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1990-$2130

PACU RN Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Minnesota
• Minimum 3 years of critical care nursing experience (ICU or Emergency Department required)
• Previous PACU nurse experience highly preferred
• Proficiency with Epic EMR system
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA or ARC required)
• Experience caring for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient populations
• Trauma Level I hospital experience required
• At least 1 year of RN experience required

PACU Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver holistic, patient-centered care in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit
• Perform assessments, nursing diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Develop and revise individualized care plans for patients recovering from anesthesia
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary healthcare teams and delegate tasks as needed
• Care for neonates, infants, children, young adults, adults, and older adults
• Participate in shared decision-making and continuous improvement of nursing practices
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with Minnesota nursing standards
