Travel Nurse Job Details
- Location: Kennewick, WA 99338 (Washington nursing jobs)
- Healthcare Setting: Progressive Care Unit / Med/Surg Float
- Assignment Type: Travel RN contract
- Start Date: November 24, 2025
- End Date: February 23, 2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights (18:30 – 07:00)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekend Requirement: 2 weekend shifts per 2-week pay period
- Call Requirement: Yes
- Unit Details: 16 private rooms, patient ratios 1:4 (1:3 for higher acuity)
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1680-$1800
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active RN license (Registered Nurse)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg or Progressive Care nursing experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications (ACLS or rhythm interpretation training required)
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Clinical skills in EKG/cardiac monitoring, respiratory assessment/support, and medication titration
- Ability to float between Progressive Care, Med/Surg, and Postpartum units
- Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for travel nurse jobs
Med/Surg RN Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a 16-bed progressive care unit
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, deliver respiratory support, and titrate medications
- Care for patients with ETOH detox, post-PCI, DKA/HHS, cardiac, GI, and BIPAP support
- Float to Med/Surg and Postpartum units as needed
- Document patient care using Paragon (McKesson) EHR system
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Participate in call rotation and fulfill weekend shift requirements
