Med/Surg Telemetry RN Job Details

• Location: Roxboro, North Carolina 27573
• Healthcare Setting: 16-bed Med/Surg Telemetry Unit
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Contract
• Start Date: November 24, 2025
• End Date: February 23, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1680 - $1800
• Electronic Health Record: Meditech
• Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs
• Floating: Yes, as needed to support patient care
• Call Requirements: None
• Patient Population: Adult & Geriatric

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and float to other units as needed
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Must comply with hospital dress code (navy blue scrubs)

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, and effective nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings, respond promptly to changes in patient condition, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Administer medications, perform patient assessments, and document care accurately using Meditech EHR
• Care for patients with common diagnoses such as congestive heart failure (CHF), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and diabetes
• Participate in hospital orientation (held weekly on Mondays) and ongoing clinical training
• Float to other nursing units as required to support overall patient care
