• Location: Baltimore, MD 21218 (Maryland nursing jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: ED Boarder - Medical Surgical Telemetry Unit
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: 12/23/2025, End: 3/24/2026)
• Shift: 3x12-hour night shifts (19:00 - 07:30)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1590 - $1710
• Patient Population: Adolescents, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics
• Unit Size: 52 beds, 44 rooms, daily census of 125

Telemetry Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license in Maryland or compact state (required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of recent MS/Telemetry or Cardiac Telemetry RN experience
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred)
• Must pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam (80% overall, 100% on lethal rhythms)
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• Two (2) supervisor references required
• Experience with Cerner charting system preferred
• Willingness to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients boarding in the ED awaiting inpatient placement
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry, manage cardiac and vasoactive drips (including titration), and respond to rapid response/code situations
• Administer blood products, manage central and peripheral lines, and provide wound care
• Care for patients with diverse diagnoses, including cardiac, neurological, orthopedic, and substance withdrawal cases
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, respiratory, physical therapy, pharmacy, and social services
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to hospital protocols and infection control standards
• Participate in self-scheduling and maintain flexibility for floating and weekend coverage as needed
