Travel Nurse Job Details

• Location: Akron, Ohio 44304
• Unit: 5 North (5N) AAU – Med/Surg Telemetry
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 1/4/2026 – End: 4/4/2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1910 - $1960
• Openings: 3 travel RN positions
• Employment Type: Travel nursing job

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license (Nursys verification required)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
• Recent EPIC and phlebotomy experience (within last 12 months)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Ability to float to other units as needed
• Willingness to train for charge nurse responsibilities (charge nurse experience preferred)
• At least 1 year of nursing experience required

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, and effective patient care in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms; respond to changes promptly
• Perform phlebotomy and document care using EPIC EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes
• Float to other nursing units as needed
• Participate in charge nurse duties, including patient assignments, Pyxis and crash cart checks, and acting as a liaison to supervisors
• Maintain compliance with facility policies and procedures
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare colleagues
