Med/Surg RN Job Details

• Location: Hermitage, TN 37076 (Greater Nashville area)
• Unit: 33-bed Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) unit, 6th floor Main Campus
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: January 12, 2026
• End Date: April 13, 2026
• Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (12-hour day shifts)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Schedule: Every other weekend required
• Employment Type: Travel RN, On-Site
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1440-$1550

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN experience
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Proficient IV skills and experience with Kangaroo pumps, SCDs
• Experience with Meditech healthcare documentation system preferred
• Ability to float to other clinical units as needed

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to diverse Medical-Surgical patients
• Manage a 6:1 patient ratio during day shifts, supported by 3 patient care techs and a unit secretary
• Administer medications, monitor IVs, and operate specialized clinical equipment
• Accurately document patient care using Meditech
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain positive patient experiences and uphold hospital policies and clinical guidelines
• Participate in unit activities and foster a supportive healthcare team environment
